RECAP Training for the “Hanoi MCU – FPGA Design Contest 2026” – Kicking Off the Technology Journey

On April 7, 2026, the training session for the Hanoi MCU – FPGA Design Contest 2026 was successfully held at the University of Transport and Communications (UTC). The event officially marked the beginning of this year’s technology competition, bringing together lecturers and student teams with a shared passion for electronics, embedded systems, and innovation.
With a combination of technical orientation, hands-on practice, and direct guidance from industry experts, the training session provided participants with an important foundation for the competition journey ahead.
The Training Session Marks the Beginning of a Promising Competition
The training session was designed to help participating teams understand the competition structure, technical requirements, and development direction before entering the next stages.
Through carefully prepared presentations and practical activities, students were introduced to the key aspects of the competition while being encouraged to actively explore and apply their knowledge.
The event also created an opportunity for students to gain a clearer understanding of how MCU and FPGA technologies can be applied to practical engineering projects.

Connecting Academia and the Technology Community
The program welcomed lecturers and participating teams from 9 universities across Hanoi, creating a dynamic environment for academic exchange and technical discussion.
Beyond the training content, the event provided an opportunity for students to connect with peers from other universities and share their learning and research experiences.
Participants had the opportunity to:
- Expand their network within the technology community.
- Exchange technical knowledge and project ideas.
- Learn from students with different academic backgrounds.
- Gain practical insights into MCU and FPGA applications.
This connection between universities, students, and industry is an important part of creating a stronger technology ecosystem and encouraging young engineers to explore new opportunities.

Competition Overview and Official Development Kits
During the training session, representatives of the Organizing Committee provided a detailed overview of the Hanoi MCU – FPGA Design Contest 2026, including the competition roadmap, evaluation criteria, technical requirements, and suggested project directions.
Understanding these elements from the beginning allows teams to establish clearer project objectives and prepare more effectively for the upcoming stages.
A key highlight of the program was the presentation of the official development kits to representatives of the participating universities.
The kits will serve as an important foundation for teams as they begin researching, experimenting, and developing their competition projects. Having access to the official hardware at an early stage also allows students to become familiar with the system and identify potential technical challenges before entering the more intensive development phases.

Hands-on Guidance with MCU – FPGA Development Kits
Following the competition orientation, representatives from Willas Vietnam and the FAE team directly supported students during the hands-on technical session.
The training included demonstrations of the development kit’s main features, an introduction to the hardware used in the competition, and guidance on basic operations.
Students were able to work directly with the MCU development kit, helping them better understand the relationship between theoretical concepts and practical hardware development.
This hands-on experience is particularly valuable for students who are developing their first projects with MCU or FPGA platforms. By working directly with the hardware, participants can gain confidence and prepare more effectively for the challenges of the competition.

Preparing for the Next Stage of the Technology Journey
The training session concluded with a positive and energetic atmosphere. More than simply introducing the competition and its technical requirements, the event encouraged students to approach technology with curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
With the official development kits now available, participating teams can begin focusing on research, experimentation, and project development.
The upcoming stages will give students opportunities to apply their knowledge of MCU, FPGA, programming, and hardware design to practical projects while developing important engineering skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation.
For Willas Vietnam, supporting the competition is also an opportunity to strengthen connections with universities and contribute to the development of the next generation of engineers in Vietnam.
The Hanoi MCU – FPGA Design Contest 2026 has only just begun, and the technology journey ahead promises many exciting ideas, challenges, and breakthroughs.
Stay tuned for the next updates and join us as young engineers explore, innovate, and push the boundaries of MCU and FPGA technology.
