On June 18, 2025, Willas Electronics Vietnam successfully co-organized an in-depth SONIX MCU training session in Da Nang City, with the participation of more than 80 students from seven technical universities across the region. The event marked the official kickoff of Round 1 of the Expanded FPGA Competition 2025, paving the way for innovative and breakthrough ideas from the next generation of engineers.
SONIX MCU – A Powerful Microcontroller for Embedded Solutions
SONIX is a Taiwan-based microcontroller brand recognized for its low power consumption, high reliability, and ease of integration. With a diverse product portfolio, SONIX MCUs are widely used in consumer electronics, IoT devices, measurement and control systems, smart toys, and many other embedded applications.
During the training session, students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with SONIX MCU development kits, learning embedded system design concepts while deepening their understanding of microcontrollers in general and SONIX MCUs in particular. The program was led by two experts from Willas: Mr. Trong Le – Product Manager and Mr. Kien Nguyen – Technical Director, who shared valuable technical knowledge and practical industry experience.

As part of the event, Willas Electronics Vietnam officially announced the Round 1 challenge of the Expanded FPGA Competition 2025. Participants will use SONIX MCUs as the core platform to develop embedded systems based on the assigned theme, focusing on practical applications and technological innovation.
The competition not only provides students with a technical platform to showcase their skills but also helps them build stronger connections with industry, preparing them for future careers in the high-tech sector.
